First Class Parlor Car Service

Pennsylvania Railroad’s “Francis McGrath”

Enjoy an all-day rail cruise back in time – a time when travel was a pleasant and civil experience, especially on board a train offering interesting and varied scenery, spacious first class accommodations and attentive service.

The Pennsylvania Railroad’s Parlor Car #7135, Francis McGrath, is a survivor of a group of similar cars built in the 1950s for daytime business class travel between New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington.

First Class Parlor Car Service with complimentary refreshments and chair side warm meals prepared on board en route is available in this 29-seat car with individual, upholstered, swiveling captain’s chairs and wide picture windows. Although this service is exclusively for the use of our First Class passengers, they are free to stroll through the nine car train, chat with other passengers, visit the gift shop and snack car, etc.
