Progress is being made on refurbishment of the power car.  The floor has been repaired including installation of new diamond plate.  Exhaust fans have been installed to facilitate heat dissipation and interior wiring has been redone to accommodate the fan installation as well as exterior marker lights. As for the exterior of the power car, rusted side panels have been repaired and if all goes as planned, the car will soon be sand blasted in preparation for priming before receiving its’ new finish coat of
paint.  When completed, it will be Nickel Plate green to match our three passenger cars, Mt. Baxter, No. 62 and No. 90. The power car contains two generators, a main and a back-up, which when connected to a string of passenger cars will supply electrical power for lighting and heat.  The car can be leased along with our passenger cars or separately in order to generate revenue for Midwest.
